7-year-old named 'Kid of the Year' after rescuing more than 1,300 dogs
It’s always touching my heart when I see kids being fond of animals, but this little fella is much more than that. Meet Roman, the 2018 kid of the year!

Roman McConn is a 7 years old little boy from Augusta, Georgia and he's just as any other kid at his age. However, his unconditional love for animals is just unbelievable.

And to understand what that actually means, you need to know that Roman has rescued more than 1,300 dogs so far.

"I think it's very important for the dogs I meet that I give them the best chance at finding the right home that they need," Roman told InsideEdition.com. "I think a lot of other kids should be doing what I'm doing."

And since such incredible kind gestures won't pass unnoticed, Roman's love for stray dogs got the attention American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) who named him the Kid of the Year, an award definitely deserved!

The little boy started to rescue dogs since he was 4 and with the help of his mom, Sully, they founded Project Freedom Ride. The organization's goal is to rescue dogs (especially those who found themselves on dead lists) and them to find new homes for them.

Asked how he managed to find families for so many dogs, Roman simply explained that his mom was filmed him while he was playing with the dogs he rescued and then she shared the adorable videos on Facebook.

"She posts it on Facebook so people can see it," the boy said. "I think it's very important for the dogs I meet that I give them the best chance at finding the right home that they need."
