Two Gigantic Sea Lions "Borrow" Someone's Boat, And The Video Is Ridiculous (video)

Everyone loves a day out on the water, especially these two sea lions who were seen highjacking a yacht. The huge mammals were spotted riding onboard a boat off the coast of Washington by Joshua Phillips who was riding aboard a neighboring boat. It looks like the huge aquatic mammals decided to borrow somebody’s boat to rest their flippers after a swim. The only problem is the boat wasn’t designed to hold such large travelers.

Former professional soccer player Joshua Phillips was enjoying a boat ride when he took out his phone to record something unusual. A couple of huge sea lions majestically sailing around as well. "The vessel looked a little off, and we got closer and closer and realized there were two massive animals on board," Phillips told The Seattle Times. Phillips took the video in Eld Inlet near Olympia in Washington, United States.

Though it's unclear who owns the vessel, or how long the pair hung out there, this unusual sighting does put these animals' size into a new perspective. Sea lions can tip the scales at a whopping 2,500 pounds and reach lengths of 11 feet — a fun fact to float your boat, or in this case, nearly sink it.
