Nyan Nyan Ji in Japan is every cat lover’s dream. Its name translates to “Meow Meow Temple” and it’s exactly what it sounds like, it’s a temple filled with cats!
The temple is located in Kyoto and is home to seven cats. The cat monk is named Koyuki and she’s a third-generation monk.
People come to the temple to play with Koyuki and her assistants and to enjoy the cat-themed food and art that’s on offer. The temple has its own little café and the temple is filled with feline art.
You can tell that the temple is the brainchild of an artist because it is absolutely beautiful and it should be at the top of every cat lover’s bucket list.

Koyuki has been blessed with plenty of assistants to help her keep an eye on things.
Koyuki takes her job very seriously.
So she needs to nap a lot to have enough energy.
The temple is open to visitors almost every day, and Koyuki loves to greet her worshippers.
