Nothing reveals love and kindness better than a hug. And not only humans need a warm embrace, but animals as well, especially the orphaned ones. And this baby kangaroo joey is no exception.
Doodlebug is an orphaned kangaroo at a sanctuary in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Recently, a touching photo of the cute little joey finding comfort in a teddy bear has taken the internet by storm.
The adorable snap was initially shared online by Tim Beshara, an adviser to Greens senator for Tasmania Peter Whish-Wilson. In a tweet he explained that his mom Gillian Abbott is taking care of the little one since it was only a couple of months old. "He may have fallen out of his mother's pouch," the man told Daily Mail.
"He was a couple of months old when he was passed onto my mother's wildlife company WIRES. She has since nursed it back to health and it is now hopping around the forest and coming back for the occasional feeding or cuddle."
Tim's mom thought to offer the orphaned animals she's caring for a little bit of extra comfort, so she hung teddy bears around the yard. It proved to be an extremely good idea. "They seem to respond to the toys much in the same way as a toddler, "Tim Beshara said. "They treat it as a companion." SourceÇ: Boredpanda
