Get ready for the most adorable pictures you’ve seen all week! This utterly tiny owl used a mushroom as an umbrella and it will make your heart smile. Generally, owls are incredible and amazing animals but you won’t believe the cuteness level of this little fellow.
Poldi The Petite Owl The name of this handsome boy is Poldi, who is 1.5 years old and one of Tanja Brandt's pets. She got Poldi when he was only 5 months old and she said that he was one of the last of 7 owls to hatch, barely wanting to come out. Luckily, he eventually made it out and blessed us with his presence. However, he was a lot smaller than his six older sisters. He still hasn't grown to a full-size owl and remains to be a petite little baby.
Other Lovely Pets of Tanja Tanja doesn't only take care of Poldi but a few others as well, as she loves animals. She also has a white-faced owl named Gandalf, a Harris Hawk named Phönix, a snow owl named Uschi and a Malinois shepherd named Ingo. She also likes to photograph these pets regularly.
"I've always loved animals, since I was a baby, unlike the rest of my family. When I was little, I found every sort of pet and then hid it from my parents. I love the beauty, power, loyalty, courage, and friendship of animals. Many people could learn from them."
Owl And Dog: Best Friends Forever "I never thought an owl and a dog could be best friends, but Poldi and Ingo demonstrate otherwise. The unlikely friendship is truly a beautiful thing. Since Poldi is so small, he is very vulnerable to everything around him – and Ingo has gladly taken on the role of being Poldi's protector. They respect each other and they can read each other." Brandt says. "[Poldi the owl] doesn't know how to live free". Lucky for Poldi he has a true comrade beside him to protect him.
Tanja Brandt Photography Being extremely passionate about animals and photographing them, Tanja Brandt from Germany loves to capture her many pets either by themselves or interacting with each other. "I think my animals like to be photographed. Why? Because I am always outside with my camera and with my animals. So we get to walk together, have fun, go on adventures, have little breaks… We take some pictures and after the animals can play again as we keep going. I know my animals very well and I can see their state of mind. If I go out with just one of my animals, the other gets antsy and wants to be with us. We have a lot of fun together."
