From time to time we come across stories that surprise and shock us, like the sort of thing that you ask yourself, why would anyone try that? This story is one of those we said earlier and took place in Brazil, when some teachers gave a task to their students to paint a horse instead of canvases.
This incident occurred two years ago, and started as a harmless activity in organizers eyes for school children at summer camp, and they didn't expect the backlash that would take place or the fierce debate on the internet.
According to La Vanguardia, teachers asked the children to paint one of the horses at the Riding School of the Equestrian Society in Brazil. The poor animal ended with paint all over its body and face and couldn't get what was going on and why?
The NGO Order of Lawyers of Brazil (OAB), heard about the incident and shared a picture of the painted animal on their social media, member of the NGO, Paula Vasconcelos, told newspaper O Globo: "They had the brilliant idea of placing the horse as a painting canvas, saying it would be a pedagogical activity. They said it was a rescued horse, but that does not justify the cruelty," The decision of allowing the kids painting the horse was defended by the riding school's head of communication, Muriell Marques, he stated: "The horse was calm, it was not stressed."
The backlash that took place on social media was for sure significant, people were mad about this act of cruelty and a lot of commenter's stated that a horse is a living soul not a toy. Some others failed to grasp the magnitude of the incident, but we cannot imagine how someone can explain such a dumb move. We are happy that at least the poor animal wasn't harmed in no way.
