Sea snakes are often mischaracterized as dangerous creatures. But facts reveal that out of the 4,000 species worldwide, only a fourth actually possess the toxic venom that can kill animals and humans.

And yes, sea snake incidents can happen. Deep in the ocean, there are sea snakes that you should never come across. For example, a venomous creature is known as the “olive sea snake” inhabits tropical coral reefs and can grow up to 6 feet long.
