This is the touching story of a long-eared sweetheart rabbit who adopted three stray dog. The story began when a large, somewhat ordinary-looking white-tailed rabbit ran away from home, this rabbit though, was far from ordinary. He had adopted three stray puppies and became a full-blown loving, caring father after they left orphaned after the passing of their mother.
After he decided to live an independent life, he dug a hole he could call home in the garden of a lady called Maragarita Startseva. After a little while, the lady noticed the rabbit was not alone, he was looking after the three orphaned pups. He kept them fed and inside the safety of his home where he could keep an eye on them.
When they were outside, he would run circles around them, lovingly push them with his nose and lick them to keep them warm. He certainly saved their lives as the outside temperatures had dropped down to as low as –25 ° С.
He washed them, kept them warm, protected them from other animals, and truly adopted them as if they were his own children. After the tragedy, long-eared took care of the puppies. He watched the puppies, not letting them get out of the hole, licked them and drove away curious cats.
Warming the puppies and protecting them from adversity, the rabbit did not let them die in severe frosts. Margarita posted regular announcements in her village to search for the owners of the rabbit for new owners for the pups.
The rabbit's owner was soon found, who has agreed to leave the rabbit be until the last of the puppies are adopted. What a beautiful story!
