As we drove home in the cold weather at 4:30 in the morning, we envision Patrick Hennessy wanting to go home and warm himself up in bed as soon as possible. However, when he realized that the two frightened puppies needed help, he did not hesitate to stop and help. The man immediately called the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and two officers arrived on the scene soon.
Terrified, wounded puppies mumbled softly. As the police approached the stray dogs, the two puppies licked them gratefully. As if knowing that the officials were here to help.
Officials soon found a source of blood on the ground. One of them was bleeding. Police believed they had been hit by a car and took action to quickly stop the bleeding. After police officers applied gauze and pressure to the wounds of the stray dog, another officer contacted the Orange County Animal Welfare Department and asked the police to guard the puppy until the rescuers arrived
Police gave warm hugs to the shivering puppies and tried to soothe them while they waited for help. It was cold and weary, but we could not abandon these poor puppies.
Finally, Animal Services arrived on the scene and provided assistance. Thanks to the patience and kindness of the police, the dogs were not so scary. When they arrived at the shelter, the two bulldogs were very happy, caring and grateful.
Two cubs named “Freedom and Justice”. They brought so much joy and happiness to the shelter’s staff. May this lovely couple find their perfect family forever. After they settled in the shelter, the police officers guarding them came to see them, and we were delighted to learn that now Freedom and Justice are the happiest dogs in the world.
