A touching moment of a gorilla and a woman looking at their newborn baby! A mother’s love is undoubtedly the most powerful force on the planet, and this viral moment is the perfect proof of that.
When Michael Austin, his wife Emily, and their newborn child decided to visit the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, they didn’t think they would have one of the most touching encounters that could happen between humans and wildlife. “When we went to the zoo that day, I never imagined we would have such an experience.” said Emily.
When they approached the cages of the endangered western lowland gorilla Kiki, they had a lot of experience. The young family paused to see the gorilla with its 7-month-old son. Not long after, Kiki and her baby Pablo approached the visitor, but what happened next was unimaginable. “My wife hugged my son and showed him to Kiki,” Michael told. “Then she (gorilla) grabbed Pablo and put him on her feet to carry him to us.” The two mothers then had this magical interaction that lasted for a few minutes. And they always seem to speak the same language. It was a very special and strong bond. Michael also captured the moment on his cell phone and the footage became viral. “It was one of the most amazing experiences,” Michael recalls. “Kiki spoke to us by hand. Pablo at one point put his face to the glass, touched his nose together and looked at him. My wife and I were in tears,” he said. Check out some great moments here:
