First, I selected three white towels that had plain stripes or endings in their design that could be embroidered. As the ones I got had three stripes, I decided to embroider them with rococo roses in the central stripe, baby ribbons in the rest and for the edge, broderie, entredos and lace.

The embroidery was the same as that made on the clogs. Below is the process. In the first, I border it with yellow roses, I sewed it with two openwork baby ribbons, purple and on the border, a broderie ribbon.

In the second, I also embroidered it in yellow and sewed baby ribbons of the same color and on the edge, a lace.

Finally, in the third one, I embroidered it with red roses, I sewed two black baby ribbons with white polka dots and on the edge, a joint to which I passed a red baby ribbon.

First I basted the ribbons and then I sewed them with the sewing machine. Behind the embroidered fringe, to give it a better finish, I sewed a white bias tape.
