The bystanders quickly called the fire department. The firemen that arrived rushed in to rescue the helpless little dog from the rough waters that were surely going to cause it to drown. The firemen provided first aid and estimated that the poor little thing had been in the water for 15 long hours. The lucky dog certainly owes it life to the pod of dolphins that came to its rescue and had the intelligence to ask for help. Not to mention the brave firemen who rushed in to save it.
