A Russian felted wool artist, Yulia Derevschikova, has been making the most realistic and adorable looking woodland creatures that you can adopt instead. She has been doing this since 2015 and has currently made over 100 of these cute little creatures. She has managed to acquire a lot of fans over the years and is not slowing down.

The artist takes inspiration from her love for animals. She has the knack to spot cuteness, which reflects in her creation. By observing her portfolio of cute creatures, you can easily fathom her distinct style.

Each animal takes her about 20 hours to make, something that not only requires a great degree of patience but also skill and dedication.

"The positive emotions I get when I deliver an order to the customer are very valuable to me, it gives me inspiration," the artist told Bored Panda. She is now branching out and is sending her products to other cities where her creations are in demand.

Derevschikova's adorable creatures have a great mix of realism as well as aesthetics. The fur is very fluffy and gives the impression that it could be real, the googly eyes make them look adorable and just their minute build and feel is enough to make you want to adopt one of your own.

Derevschikova manages to make hyper-realistic versions of the forest creatures using the felted wool technique. This method involves threading and weaving, a wool technique that adds extra puffiness to the wool.

It gives it a soft and fluffy texture that makes these little critters look ten times more adorable. This method is not to be confused with the wool felt, in which there is no threading and weaving involved.
