The birds flapping their wings towards freedom were brought to you by the best bird photographers of the year. Which bird is your favorite?
The "Best Bird Photographer of the Year" contest has been held since 2016, with photographers from all over the world participating. This year, the photographers participated in the contest with the most impressive, most beautiful and interesting bird photographs they took.
1. Caron Steele - Bird Photographer of the Year This Dalmatian Pelican was filmed by Steele on Lake Kerkini in Greece. When Steele went to the lake to take the photo, he said he saw it frozen for the first time in 16 years. Although all the birds were flying, this pelican ran towards the photographer in the twilight with her wings spread, resulting in a pose that is rarely caught.
2. Yashodhan Bhatia - Best Portrait Bhatia was awarded the Honor Award for this portrait he shot. Bhatia said that birds flying in the air like this were the Milker or Swallow, but it was difficult to understand. Bhatia determined a place for himself where they were to be able to take the photograph, and he worked hard for it. He tried taking the picture for two days and finally got a great picture.
3. Csaba Tokolyi - Details Tokolyi, whose photo won a silver award, stated that he had a very active night for this bird and he captured the photo he wanted at dawn. He chose to shoot this Little Egret with a different lens rather than wide angle.
4. Chad Larsen - Urban Birds The photo was taken during a Christmas break in Saskatchewan (Canada). Larsen, who photographed snow owls with his wife, was very surprised to see this image and immediately photographed it. However, it was very difficult for him to take the picture. He had difficulty focusing on the owl because it was all white, and he made an extra effort not to miss it.
5. Cat Edwardes - Creative Images There is a small Hummingbird in this photo which was awarded the honor. Edwardes stated that he took hundreds of shots to be able to take the picture. And at the end of all the shots, she caught this perfect wing pose.
6.I am Andrew - Best Portrait What you see in the photo is a very brave and young Kingfisher Bird. Andrew said he was excited to take this photo, which won the Silver award. Andrew thought the little bird would dive into the water just below where it was standing, but that didn't happen. The photographer set a location for himself and when a bus with the same color as the bird's feathers arrived, he quickly pressed the shutter button to capture the photograph.
7.Meline Nolan - Youngest Bird Photographer of the Year Nolan, one of the youngest photographers participating in the contest, won a Silver award for his photograph. While traveling with his family to Colorado Creede, Nolan began shooting birds around with his mother's camera. One day he caught sight of this adorable female Red Hummingbird. Nolan noticed this bird exactly as it took out its tongue, and a unique image emerged.
